After purchase, you’ll automatically receive a .ISN file by email. This file is used with the CAFlash app to program the ISN into your DME.
 
The ISN (Individual Serial Number) is a security code hardcoded into the DME. When you start the car, the CAS checks this code. The vehicle will only start if the ISN in the DME matches the CAS.
 
If you’re installing a replacement DME, the ISN must be updated to match your car. This product allows you to do exactly that using CAFlash.
 
How it works:
Use CAFlash to read the ISN from your original DME.
During checkout, enter:
The 32-character ISN string provided by CAFlash
Your new DME type (MSD80 or MSD81)
You’ll receive a ready-to-flash .ISN file that permanently programs the ISN into your new DME.
 
Once flashed, the ISN will match your CAS and the car will start normally.
